STEP is a charity devoted to giving adults with learning disabilities opportunities to play football. Based in Camden, north London we run weekly training sessions for players, both male and female with 5-aside games.
Founded in 2003 STEP is a registered charity (charity number 1109217) and our aim is to encourage adults with learning disability to play sport in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.
STEP started when Sammy was leaving his school and was going to miss his mates. He was looking for a team to join and couldn’t find one so we set up STEP, then he wanted to play against other players so we started a league. Sammy has been with us since day one and is still looking forward to Liverpool winning the Premiership, he and Omah are available should they need a new stike partnership (subject to availability).
